In histology — that is, in histological textbooks, lectures, and naturally also within the individual chapters of this Tales project — a variety of technical terms are used that are not always explained in context.

To facilitate understanding, a glossary has been created. It focuses primarily on terms from general histology, but also includes other histologically relevant technical expressions, each explained in a concise and accessible form.
