ONE HEALTH QUANTITATIVE METHODS

2.2

Jumping barriers: a case study

In order to make the One Health concept work we need to investigate the animal-human interaction as well as the underlying biology.

If you wish to convince stakeholders and decision makers, it is important to understand why some diseases are transmitted from animals to humans and vice versa. If you are able to argue with numbers, especially in the field of financial savings, your argument is more easily accepted.

Watch Jakob Zinsstag introduce some theoretical aspects of a One Health approach. For reasons of sensitivity we would like to warn you that in this video you see the photograph of an aborted lamb.
