The shortcoming of KAP studies
Knowledge, attitude and practice (KAP) studies are a way to collect data in a short amount of time. They are questionnaire-based and therefore cost-effective. Often they are used by veterinarians with little training in qualitative methods.
Due to the questionnaires, they can be misleading because they don’t cover the whole complexity of an issue.
Watch Esther Schelling demonstrate the basic principles and limitations of this approach.
