Asynchronous phase (independent study)

The University of Basel provides access to the ADAM learning platform, which allows you to organize your courses (particularly the asynchronous phases).

  • An interface between ADAM and the student administration service enables lecturers to set up synchronized workspaces automatically for every course. All students registered for the course then have access to this workspace. A major advantage of a synchronized course workspace is the automatic administration process: the course registration list is automatically compared with the workspace participant list overnight.

  • For courses outside the regular semester planning process (e.g. block courses), you can request a workspace to be created in ADAM (under “Other features”) at any time and oversee the registration process yourself or manually add students to the course.
