SUMMARY OF PSYCHOLOGICAL REALITY COURSE (TBD)
5.1
A Model of Reality
Throughout this course, one question has guided our exploration: How do humans construct models of reality — and what can these models tell us about the world?
Perception, evolution, cognition and computational modeling have offered different ways of approaching this question. Together, they also point to a common challenge: models help us navigate and understand the world precisely because they simplify it.
In this final video, Fabian Mueller brings these perspectives together. Watch as he returns to the central idea of a model of reality and considers what makes a model useful, where its limits lie, and why recognizing those limits matters both within science and beyond.
