The tasks in this chapter were by far not easy and you did a great job learning about the development of mensural notation after 1260 as notational signs started to display rhythm combined with pitches and discover the history of different mensural signs and their lengths. You discovered the different rules of mensural notation of the so called Ars Antiqua notation of the late 13th century and Investigated the ligature rules before 1260 (pre-Franconian) and after 1260 (Franconian).

In the last steps you became acquainted with the preparations for a transcription and made your very own transcription of a medieval musical piece. Well done!
