Responsibility and liability

Now you are familiar with many of the fundamentals of data protection in public institutions. But who is ultimately responsible for implementing them? And what happens if data protection is not adequately ensured?

Data protection is ultimately always about people. On the one hand, people’s data must be protected. On the other hand, responsible people must ensure that this is done sufficiently and properly.
